Strengthening dispute resolution, community harmony, and access to justice for women and marginalized groups through local government Judicial Committees.
Institute for Governance and Development (IGD) implements landmark Community Mediation Programs (CMP) to build local dispute resolution capacity. Partnering with GIZ/CDSG and Governance Facility, IGD trains local Judicial Committees under Article 217 of the Constitution of Nepal, establishes community mediation centers, and equips female and marginalized mediators to resolve disputes peacefully at the grassroots level.
